Our ministry exists to develop children who are devoted to loving God, loving others and living their life like Jesus, whether they're at home, church or on the playground.

HIGHWAY 14:23 (BIBLE STUDY for 1st-5th Graders)

Our Bible classes are offered at 9:30 am. The children rotate through different workshops with their peers to study God's Word. We have teams of caring and dedicated teachers who share relevant and life changing lessons to the children. Each Sunday's lesson is self-contained and accessible to the first time visitor. This is a safe environment where children are encouraged to grow in their relationship with God.

I'm a Christian Now Class for 1st-5th Graders- Spring 2012 Dates

We will be starting a 4 week class on Sunday mornings for children who recently became Christians or those on the verge of this decision. This class helps kids understand the decision to follow Christ and what it means to live a Christian life. Each week focuses on a new topic with application activities. In addition to a unit on becoming a Christian, topics covered include baptism and the Lord's Supper, being a church member, following God through one's actions, and developing a quiet time. This class will take place during our 9:30 a.m. Bible Study hour in the conference room off of the Children's Foyer. The class will be lead by our children's minister, Patty Evans. Each student will be provided with a book. Light homework is a part of this class. The dates for the first class are Feb. 12th ,Feb. 19th, Feb. 26th and March 4th. Our second spring class dates are April 29th, May 6th, May 13th, May 20th. Each participant must be able to attend every class. There will be a mandatory meeting for parents the Sunday before the student class begins: Feb 5th and April 15th. Click here to sign your child up.

Kids Praise - During our 11:00am service, 1st -3rd graders meet in The Shack (room 207) in the education building for a time of joyful praise and worship. Through the use of friendly puppets, energetic singing, engaging in age appropriate Bible lessons we desire to lead children in loving God. 4th - 5th graders worship with their parents. We see this as an opportunity to model to our kids the value of worship. Our contemporary praise, dramas, and relevant messages, speak to a wide range of ages and provide for an opportunity to have family discussions about spiritual issues. In our day and age, it is so hard to have time together as a family. Our desire is to make worship a bonding family experience. Some families choose to have younger elementary age children with them in worship, as well.
